No — a request is a private magic link that opens straight into a step-by-step wizard on any device, with no password and nothing to install (the wizard can optionally be installed as an app, which enables push reminders). Progress saves automatically as they go, and links expire on their own (90 days by default).

Is Collect secure enough for tax documents and IDs?
That is the use Collect is designed for: files are encrypted in transit (HTTPS only) and at rest (AES-256), every storage path is scoped to your organization, downloads run through short-lived signed URLs, and tenant isolation is enforced by the database itself with row-level security.
Are the e-signatures backed by evidence?
Every signature is captured with an ESIGN/UETA-style intent affirmation and stored with an evidence record — signer IP, timestamp, user agent, and a document hash — so you can show exactly who signed what, and when.
How do clients get reminded to finish?
Reminders escalate automatically: free push notifications first, then email, then — on Professional and Business plans — SMS relayed through your own Twilio number, so you pay Twilio’s own per-message rate and we add no markup.
